The Process of a Drawing

The drawing was made with oilbar, linseed oil, beeswax and graphite on a heavy weight paper over a period of three or four weeks. I worked from still life objects including a wooden donkey, several wooden elephants, a clay camel and a clay figure. Images of the objects are reflected in a mirror which in my mind symbolises another realm or dimension. You will notice the objects move around in the course of the drawing which is a visible demonstration of my thought process as I try to resolve the composition and the narrative.
